Wilsonia Scholars Home follows the CBSE Curriculum, the Grading System of CBSE differs from ICSE quite significantly. It is based on the Evaluation System known as Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) that refers to a system of school-based evaluation of students covering all aspects of students development.

It is a developmental process of assessment which emphasizes on two fold objectives. These objectives are continuity in evaluation and assessment of broad based learning and behavioural outcomes on the other. In this scheme the term `continuous’ is meant to emphasize that evaluation of identified aspects of students `growth and development’ which is a continuous process rather than an event, built into the total teaching-learning process and spread over the entire span of academic session. It means regularity of assessment, frequency of unit testing, diagnosis of learning gaps, use of corrective measures, retesting and feedback of evidence to teachers and students for their self evaluation.

The second term `comprehensive’ means that the scheme attempts to cover both the scholastic and the co-scholastic aspects of students’ growth and development. Since abilities, attitudes and aptitudes can manifest themselves in forms other then the written word, the term refers to application of variety of tools and techniques (both testing and non-testing) and aims at assessing a learner’s development in different areas of learning.

Continuous and Cumulative Evaluation (CCE) involves periodic tests, evaluations, assignments, project work, quiz, Class work, home work etc apart from the Half Yearly and Final Examinations.

Parents need to encourage the children to be thorough and prompt with there assignments and perform in the class room to ensure higher and better grades.
The Grading pattern for classes V to X is:
FA(Formative Assessment) 1 + FA 2 + SA (Summative Assessment) 1 = Term I
FA 3 + FA 4 + SA 2 = Term II
Grading for juniors (I – V) is based on:
FA 1 + FA 2+ FA 3 = Term I
FA 4 + FA 5 + FA 6 = Term II
The Grading pattern for classes Xi to XII is as per CBSE guide line.

Under this CCE each child is also graded on Life skills, behaviour and attitude towards school, teachers and peers. Parents involvement is important, they are required to instil good values and morals in their children and help the school in evolving better adults out of them.
