How Promotion Works at Wilsonia
Promotion from one class to the next is based on consistent academic performance, regular attendance and adherence to examination rules. The school follows transparent criteria so that students and parents clearly understand what is expected through the year. Cumulative effort across the session—tests, projects and examinations—forms the basis of the final decision.
English is a compulsory pass subject. Attendance requirements and discipline standards are strictly observed to maintain a fair and serious academic environment for every learner.

Important Promotion Guidelines
- English is compulsory. All students must pass in English. Failure in English means promotion cannot be granted.
- Attendance requirement. Every student must have at least 75% attendance of the total prescribed working days to be eligible to appear for school examinations.
- Repeat policy. If a student does not qualify for promotion but has shown good progress during the year, he or she may be permitted to repeat the class — only once.
- Unfair means. Strict disciplinary action is taken against any student found using unfair means in class tests or examinations.
- Cumulative assessment. Promotion considers the full session’s work—periodic tests, homework, projects and examinations—not a single paper alone.
Note for parents: Please ensure regular attendance and timely completion of assignments. For class-wise pass percentages and any session-specific circulars, contact the school office or refer to the academic calendar issued at the start of the year.
